Exclusive Vanessa and Angela Simmons interview
DrJays.com’s Boss Lady had the chance to catch up with the creators of Pastry Shoes, Vanessa and Angela Simmons, at the recent MAGIC fashion tradeshow in Las Vegas.
The girls talk about the excitement of the launch of Pastry Apparel, how far they’ve come since they first had the idea for Pastry Shoes, and the pressures they face as the offspring of hip-hop legends like Rev Run (their father) and Russell Simmons (their uncle).

THEIR PASTRY LINE IS HOT AND THERE CLOTHING LINE ITS GOING TO BE EXCELLENT. I SAW A FEW GARMENTS IN DR. JAYS AND I THINK THEY HAVE AN UNIQUE IDEA WHICH I LOVE. PASTRY COLLECTION WILL BE AROUND FOR A LONG TIME. IM GOING TO ENJOY WEARING THEIR SNEAKERS, HANDBAGS, THE CLOTHING, AND ANTHING ELSE THEY WILL TAKE THEIR MINDS 2. v and a may have the spotlight because they had the right connections.. but everyone knows in this world you HAVE to have connections to get ahead, or lots of money. but thats not the reason they are so hot, they obviously have talent as designers, otherwise their line wouldnt sell. and it does sell.
