Adidas pay tribute to Jam Master Jay

Rap pioneers Run DMC almost single-handedly ingrained Adidas into hip-hop culture.
In return the brand has paid tribute to the group over the years, and their most current venture is a Jam Master Jay-themed collection.

Born Jason Mizell in Brooklyn, NY (he moved to Queens with his family at the age of 10 and stayed in the neighborhood his whole life), Jam Master Jay was more than Run-DMC’s DJ. Enjoying success with the group for close to 20 years, Jay was known as one of hip-hop’s nicest, most down-to-earth celebrities.
Jay was instrumental in launching the careers of acts like Onyx and 50 Cent. He was the person who connected Chuck D with Def Jam co-founder Rick Rubin, and he established the Scratch Academy in New York for young people interested in DJing as one of his charitable ventures.
If you’re a fan of classic hip-hop, this collection is for you.

I’ve always been a huge fan of JMJ’s music but I didn’t know he was such a good person as well. That makes the end of his life all the more tragic. I’m going to be purchasing some of these items in honor of my fond memories of him.
Do you know if JMJ’s estate is getting any money from this deal?
