MIskeen is one of the few truly creative, innovative brands in streetwear. Despite their growth they still maintain their underground ethos, they have huge celebrity support and their upcoming collections are going to be their strongest yet.
Boss Lady and the crew traveled to Camden, New Jersey where the brand is based for an exclusive tour of the company’s headquarters by the company’s wonderful VP of Marketing and PR, Jasmijn Rijcken.

somebody needs to seriously kill this rock star look cuz of that direction i havent bought any miskeen, lrg, and some other brands in a while urban wear needs to get back to being what it means URBAN not rock star or atleast bring back the kanye/jay z thing I HATE that rock star *****

Sounds like you haven’t done your own research. Miskeen means “poor”, that’s all. Why don’t you write to them and ask about the origin of the name, instead of making wild false assumptions? It could very well be someone’s surname.

I love the tees but i think the jeans could be better. The tees are hot becuase the majority of them are not the same and i hate when i rock something and some one has on the same thing i have on.

Miskeen was originally owned by the guys who own meezan artcouture and were pushed out of their brand by corporate bigwigs and were forced to start another brand with the same style/design.
Yeah there back but not the same guys…its better though I admit. Just sad to see how things happen in the industry. I want say who side I’m own because I don’t know the whole story..but these are some nice pieces for the new collection

The reason the brand was named Miskeen was becuase it means unfortunate and poor. This is a reflection of how miskeen started. Young struggling artists painting on shirts to make a living and become known for their work. That’s the whole point behind the name. Miskeen isn’t just a brand there is a culture and statement behind every piece. Just keep a close eye and you will get it.Art,music and culture for those that don’t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok guys…….I WAS once a miskeen artist and I am here to tell you the rtuth and nothing but the truth.
1. Yes the brand was originated by Bariq, Kenyan and others
2. Yes, they started by selling painted tees on the street and the one day Kenyan went to Dr. Denim to hopefully sell a dozen to the greedy ass JEWS and the sold withing 2 days.
3. THe greedy ass Jews who owns Dr. Denim saw $$$$$$$ and offered to go into partnership with the guys. AND THEY SAID YES……….which was a dummy move
4. MSKN was rolling until on day……..THe money frontin Jews come into the building which used to be in Center city PISSED OFF at the originators beacuse they reportedly said that they were stealing money from the company.
5. The Originators were fired.they all were MUSLIM……..SO ALL THE MUSLIM ARTISTS LEFT and the non muslims stayed….There were about 5 that stayed out of about 15
6…….Those 5 keep Miskeen from GOING BANKRUPT,in the mean time They started Meezan after a NASTY court trial fullk of threats.
7. Remainder Miskeen artist relocated to the new headquarters in NJ….right over the Ben Franklin BRIDGE
TRUTH IS THE COPANY IS NAMED THAT FOR A REASON!!!!

THE ARTIST IS THEIR BREAD AND BUTTER AND THEY lucky if they get 12 an hr.( I THINK THEY only get * an hr. ****IN MCDONALD MONEY, and they never wanted to give us health benefits………Talk about POOR PEOPLE(MISKEEN)
NOW……….This Boss Lady chick just came into the ****in picture..she knows nothing of the true history of what really happened. She’s just another one of them a ****in JEW who knows **** about ART.
Folks if you pay close attention…….EVERY SINCE MMISKEEN WENT DOWN…….THEY BEEN RIDING OTHER BRANDS BACKS……..they are living off replicating other labels. They are way off the ORIGNAL “ART MEETS FASHION”
